Mattia Deberti
Lawyer · Partner · Geneva Bar
Over the years, Mattia Deberti has built his practice around a pragmatic approach to the law: understanding his clients' real interests in order to offer them effective solutions, without ever losing sight of the rigour each case demands.
Committed to the accuracy of his analysis as much as to the firmness of his defence, he supports his clients both in a preventive approach and in conducting litigation when no agreement can be reached.
His practice focuses primarily on spatial planning and building permits – with particular expertise in sensitive cases involving the finding of unlawful constructions and restoration orders – agricultural and rural land law (LDFR), health law and civil judicial proceedings (construction law, tenancy law, labour law, family law). In these areas he advises a varied clientele: private individuals, businesses, owners and public entities. He also handles adult deputyship mandates and has in-depth experience in the relocation of foreign nationals to Switzerland and in expenditure-based taxation.
Fluent in French, English and Italian, Mattia Deberti advises a Swiss and international clientele; he also sits on the boards of several Swiss companies, notably in the healthcare sector (medical centres, medico-social institutions), and chairs the Geneva Bar Football Club Association.
