Administrative law
Administrative law governs the relationship between private individuals and businesses, on the one hand, and the public authorities, on the other. Refused decisions, permit procedures, public procurement or disputes with an administration: our firm assists its clients in Geneva in their dealings with the State, from preventive advice through to appeals before the administrative courts.
FORI Avocat·e·s SA advises private individuals, businesses and public authorities in their dealings with the cantonal and federal administrations: applications for authorisations, compliance procedures, relations with supervisory authorities and negotiations with the administration. We also act in public-service employment law, both for employees and for public employers.
Where an administrative decision harms our clients' interests, we assist them in drafting objections and appeals before the competent authorities, the Administrative Court of First Instance, the Administrative Chamber of the Court of Justice and, if necessary, the Federal Supreme Court. Our approach seeks, as far as possible, a swift and pragmatic resolution of disputes, without ruling out a determined defence when the situation requires it.
Drawing on a cross-cutting practice, our firm applies its experience in related areas – health, construction, land law or proceedings connected with the LRDBHD (the cantonal Act on catering, beverages, accommodation and entertainment) – to give its clients an overall view of their dealings with the administration.
