FORI Avocat·e·s SA advises and represents those wishing to settle, work or bring their family to Switzerland: residence (B), settlement (C) or short-stay (L) permits, work permits, family reunification, and the specific steps for nationals of the European Union and EFTA governed by the Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons (AFMP). We coordinate with the Cantonal Population and Migration Office (OCPM) and the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).

We also assist people in an irregular situation with their regularisation steps, in particular through the hardship-case route, as well as in compiling the file intended to demonstrate successful integration in Switzerland.

Where a permit is refused, revoked or not renewed, we assist our clients in drafting objections and appeals before the competent authorities, the Administrative Court of First Instance, the Administrative Chamber of the Court of Justice, the SEM and the Federal Administrative Court and then, if necessary, the Federal Supreme Court. We also act in naturalisation proceedings, as well as in defending people threatened with removal or placed in administrative detention.

Thanks to regular practice before the cantonal and federal immigration authorities, we offer responsive support, essential in a field where time limits are often short and the consequences of a decision decisive for our clients' family and professional life.
